Internship Analysis, Structured Job Posting Breakdown
This is a structured analysis of an internship advertisement I was personally interested in, breaking down qualifications, responsibilities, employer expectations, and how my background aligns with the role. I created it both as a class assignment and as part of my own preparation to pursue the position, which required careful reading and organized written analysis. The original audience was my course professor, who reviewed the document for analytical depth, organization, and professional self-assessment. The piece demonstrates the ability to parse a real-world professional document, organize information into clear categories, and document findings in a format another reader can follow quickly, directly transferable to reading SOPs, regulatory text, and EHS reports. Rhetorically, I used sectioned headings and labeled categories to turn a wall of job-posting text into a scannable analysis, matched posting requirements to evidence from my own experience, and kept a measured, professional tone that treats the analysis as a serious document rather than a personal reflection.
